The heart of any potter's wheel is the motor and this wheel offers an extra heavy-duty 1/3 HP motor that is designed with maximum torque and will run continuously all day long without overheating. It also features a heavy-duty, cast aluminum foot pedal and a motor controller that allows for exact control. It has a vacuum-formed table top for complete water protection and a round, one-piece splash pan that can easily be removed. The bearings, pulleys and belt are the same as on their largest wheels. All of the components are assembled onto a welded steel frame. Rotation of the wheel is counterclockwise and it is built for right hand use only. This wheel delivers professional performance that is smooth, quiet and reliable and is suitable for either studio or classroom. It weighs 94 lbs.
